The last time I wore this dress, I was in Italy at the graduation of a friend of mine. Let me tell you: if you haven’t been to an Italian graduation party yet, you need to find a way to attend one. There was a lot of dancing and drinking like at any other party, but on top of that, cake was thrown around (I chose to eat my cake) and champagne was opened by the graduates as if they were Formula One champions. Admittedly, I’ve only been to one and maybe all other graduations in Italy are a much quieter affair, but I seriously doubt it. The song friends and relatives sing to Italian students after they’ve graduated would make many a non-Italian blush. What I liked about Italy is that from what I saw, people really had their own style. And of course, I loved the pizza.
Let me be British for a minute and talk about the weather – this week, I saw snow, rain and hail all in one day, for about three days straight. I hope that the weather is not as indecisive where you are!

Das letzte Mal als ich dieses Kleid an hatte, war ich in Italien auf der Absolventenfeier einer Freundin. Wenn man das Angebot kriegt zu einer italienischen Absolventenfeier zu gehen, sollte man auf jeden Fall sofort zusagen. Wie auf jeder anderen Party wurde viel getanzt und viel getrunken, aber zudem haben die Absolventen mit Kuchen um sich geschmissen (Ich hab meinen Kuchen gegessen) und Sekt geöffnet als ob sie auf dem Formel 1 Podium standen. In meinem Leben war ich erst auf einer italienischen Absolventenfeier, also kann es auch sein, dass alle anderen viel ruhiger ablaufen, aber ich bezweifle es. Wenn man sein Studium absolviert hat, bekommt man den ganzen Tag ein Lied zu hören, dass ich hier lieber nicht wiederhole. In Italien fand ich es sehr schön, dass viele Leute einfach ihren eigenen Stil hatten. Und die Pizza war natürlich super.
Lasst mich kurz britisch sein, damit ich über das Wetter meckern kann – ich habe innerhalb eines Tages Schnee, Regen, Sonne und Hagel gesehen, und das mindestens drei Tage lang. Hoffentlich ist das Wetter bei euch etwas einheitlicher!
