I used to be someone who simply hated florals. Oh, and I couldn’t stand gold jewellery either – for me it was all about the silver. Today, I’ve come to love florals (provided the colours are bright and bold, not bland and boring) as well as the glorious opulence that you can only find in gold jewellery. And seeing as I descend from a culture where kings sit next to Golden Stools, I shouldn’t be surprised. I assume that all of you have changed your minds about something in your lifetime – be it with regards to fashion, food or films.
Did you see Michelle Obama dressed in Kenzo in Tokyo the other day ? If I do love one thing, it’s a First Lady who isn’t afraid to be fashionable. And the gold buckle on that dress is simply stunning. She was campaigning for more adolescent girls around the world to have access to school.
Serena Williams will be on the next cover of Vogue, as if she wasn’t amazing enough already! I’ve never been a massive fan of tennis (sorry not sorry) but you don’t have to be an expert to see that at the age of 33 she has already achieved A LOT.
Früher habe ich Blumenmuster immer gehasst. Goldschmuck konnte ich auch nicht ausstehen, Silber fand ich irgendwie immer besser. Jetzt liebe ich Blumenmuster (solange sie bunt und auffällig sind und nicht fade und langweilig) und auch Goldschmuck, der für mich als Verkörperung des Luxus‘ gilt. Da ich aus einer Kultur stamme wo Könige neben Goldenen Stühlen sitzen, sollte ich echt nicht überrascht sein. Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, euer Geschmack hat sich über die Zeit auch verändert – sei es in Bezug auf Mode, Essen oder Filme.
Habt ihr Michelle Obamas Besuch in Tokio mitbekommen ? Ich fand ihr Kleid von Kenzo einfach wunderschön, besonders die goldene Gürtelschnalle. Sie war dort um sich für die Bildung von Mädchen und jungen Frauen in der ganzen Welt einzusetzen.
Serena Williams ist auf der nächsten Vogue zu sehen, was mehr als hervorragend ist. Ich war nie ein großer Tennisfan (warum auch), aber trotzdem kann ich sehen, dass sie mit ihren 33 Jahren schon SEHR VIEL erreicht hat.
